Don't miss one of the most beautiful and fascinating museums in Florence: the Palatine Gallery, where luxury, art and charm are uniquely combined.

The Palatine Gallery is located in the left wing of the first floor of the Pitti Palace, the residence of the Medici family. Later it hosted the Lorena as well as the King of Italy in the late nineteenth and early 1900s.

It’s an important collection including works by Raffaello, Tiziano, Caravaggio, Rubens, Pietro da Cortona and other Italian and European masters of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. There are many rooms and galleries full of marvellous paintings covering the walls and giving the Museum its particular fascination

The visit continues from the Palatine Gallery through the Royal Apartments: Fourteen magnificent rooms where the Medici and Lorraine grand-ducal families used to live.

The Museum features a significant collection of masterpieces by Raffaello, and many Venetian works by Tiziano. It also includes the main Italian and European artists of the 16th and 17th centuries, such as Andrea del Sarto, Rosso Fiorentino, Pontormo, Bronzino, Tintoretto, Veronese, Caravaggio, Rubens, Van Dyck, Murillo and Ribera.
